Stages of my career

Where do we come from? In 1979, we founded the GmbH for real estate management for fun and to earn money during our studies. I was 19 at the time and only had a vague idea of the subject. It was not until 1997 that the company took off, with further and subsequently different partners. From 2003 onwards, the great market boom for non-performing loan portfolios (NPL) came to Germany and we learned a lot from foreign investors, mainly Anglo-Saxon-influenced financial processes transferred to real estate and therefore a new perspective as a separate asset class. We were the specialists for analysing real estate and the position within Germany.

Since 2017, I have worked exclusively for trusted, long-standing clients, including project developers, family offices and both national and international investors.

We have successfully followed the “buy and hold” strategy for the last 10 years. However, amidst the euphoria, the increasing difficulty of transferring real estate to the next generation due to high value approaches was forgotten. My personal, high level of involvement in various associations and societies aimed at the professionalisation, support and mentorship of young professionals and increasing the image of the branch is also something close to my heart. Above all, these include the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the alumni association of the Immobilienakademie in Oestrich-Winkel (immoebs) and the Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung, Wiesbaden (gif e.V.).
